500 miles? that is fishey...

I made a custum intake like that too..but w\o a filter on the vent valve... and after my car was warm from driving for a while.. at stop lights or idle.. the whole car would shake.. I think it was from sucking in such hot air..

I think the only way this system would work good..is if u blocked off that intake with a sheild from the rest of the motor..

Hey,
yeh it will work,but you'd need to shield it from heat and feed it cold air from the front vent via the hole under your OEM air filter box....also it is very easy to constuct this intake yourself....may save you money...
