Hello!!!

I am thinkin of gettin powerchip for my 98 c230....

powerchip says my car's HP will rise from 147 to between 160~163....

This is around 490$....relatively cheap when compared to other tune ups...of course not many tuning opportunies for my c230's NA engine though....

But one thing that comes up to mind is that these powerchips reliability.....

Any possible problem that is likely to occur if you had'em on for let say.......maybe 5years????

Sorry to go off topic in your post, but I was wondering if anyone knew where to buy these powerchips because i also have a 1998 C230 and I am really interested in investing some money in a power chip. Thanks.

J Irwan has a powerchip in his 1997 C36. He had it installed a while back, maybe three or so years ago?

AFAIK, he has not reported any problems because of it. Only praise :)

According to the powerchip website, there's a decent amount of MB owners so far. The unfortunate thing is of all the people on that list, only J is a member here or bnzsport who has shared his experiences :(

You should do a search to read his threads. Good info already on the site.
