Universal Remus Muffler Question

Hey everyone,

i was wondering if a Universal Remus Muffler would work alright with my 98 c230? like let me know anything about it and what needs to be done if it fits.

the word "universal" explains it all.....just take it to a local muffler shop and they should know exactly what to do.. good luck

yup as long as it is universal a muffler shop would be able to weld it on.

You might want to check the canister size (the size of the actual muffler unit, not the tips), as the W202 has a little bit of a unique rectangular-ish wider shape as compared to some longer ones. If possible, see if you can get dimensions and get down there with the good 'ol measuring tape to be sure!

I have one and it’s really loud under acceleration. If you’ve ever heard a VW VR6 motor with an aftermarket exhaust on it that’s what it sounds like. At idle, it sounds like a V8. I want to change mine out.

should i really go for a magnaflow? are the tips long enough to meet up with the rieger kit? let me explain more...i plan on getting a rieger kit after my exhaust and you know how the muffler tips go in btwn the rear lip and not under it? ....just want to make sure its going to go through and not come up short...please let me know! thank you!

Yes. I had a w202 w/ header - hi flow cat - mandrel magnaflow w/ rieger kit on.

clkasse, didn't you have an exhaust for sale with high flow cats?

I'm looking for more power. Not really sound.

I have a C230k, which have two side by side cats, then into a single silencer then into muffler.

i just plan on getting the ss muffler with tips from magnaflow...is that going to work?

i have that muffler on my car.....it sounds nice, sticks out a lil bit cuz the tips are pretty long but, its good stuff
